Peoples Road Detour
Peoples Road, between Penno Road and Third Line, will be closed beginning Monday, May 4 at 6 a.m. to accommodate Phase 2 of Peoples Road reconstruction project. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 30 weeks.
A temporary transfer service will be implemented along the impacted section of the #3 Korah Road bus route. Beginning Monday, May 4 at 6:30 a.m., a designated transfer point will be established at the layover area near People’s Road and Everett Street. Signage will be posted at the affected stops with instructions for riders to contact UCAB at 705-946-1300 to arrange pickup and drop-off. All trips must be booked with UCAB at least 24 hours in advance.
East Street Detour
East Street will be closed beginning Monday, May 11, for approximately six months. Initial closures will affect the sections between Bay Street and Queen Street, and between Queen Street and Albert Street.
To support transit customers affected by the closure, the Eastside bus will use Brock Street, Bay Street, and Church Street. The Great Northern bus will use Bay Street, Brock Street, and Wellington Street.

Community Bus
The Community Bus is available to everyone, but is specifically designed to accommodate seniors and individuals with special needs.
Stops include shopping malls, retirement homes and grocery stores.
Cash fare for the community bus is $3.50.
Community Bus Detour
Riders are encouraged to follow detour signage posted at 70 East Street. The James L. McIntyre Centennial Library bus shelter will be the designated pick up location. The bus will continue on Church followed by Pim Street, and Great Northern Road.
