Experience Rogers Hometown Hockey at Roberta Bondar Park

The community is invited to the Rogers Hometown Hockey Festival taking place February 28 - March 1, 2015 at Roberta Bondar Park. This is a free event!

“The City along with Tourism Sault Ste. Marie is very excited to be able to host Rogers Hometown Hockey. Being selected as one of 25 stops across Canada emphasizes our deep hockey heritage and talent,” says Nick Apostle, Community Services Department Commissioner.

Festivities run Saturday, February 28 from noon - 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 1 from noon to 10 p.m.

Activities include:
  • Meet & greets with NHL Alumni Darryl Sittler, Marty Turco, Steve Sullivan
  • KidsZone filled with hockey-themed games & activities
  • Commemorative youth jersey give-a-way
  • Interactive experiences
  • Rogers NHL Game Centre LIVE Tech Truck
  • Sportsnet be a Broadcaster
  • Scotiabank Community Locker Room
  • Xbox Game Station
  • Dodge Caravan Stow 'n Go Challenge
  • Hockey skills zone presented by McDonalds Restaurant
  • Winter Market: McCafe Coffee, Beavertails & Gnarly Bistro
  • Local bands performing throughout the weekend
  • Cheer Like Never Before Contest
  • Ron MacLean will host a LIVE NHL broadcast from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio
    • Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Washington Capitals
