Open House - Building Permit Fees

A public Open House will take place for the purpose of reviewing the proposed increase to the City of Sault Ste. Marie’s building permit fees. In order to keep the fee in line with actual services costs, a fee increase is proposed effective January 1, 2020.
The Building Open House will take place:
When: Wednesday, November 6, 2019
Time: 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Location: Civic Centre (99 Foster Drive, Level 3, Russ Ramsey Room)
For individuals who wish to attend the presentation for the new fee schedule prior to approval by City Council, this open house will provide information on the following:

The annual 2018 fee report showing costs of operations relating to permit issuance and building code enforcement;

The proposed new fee structure and the conclusion of the current 5 year plan;

The rationale for the fee increase.
